Wilderness Experience

Wilderness Experience backpacks were first manufactured in 1973 in Chatsworth, California.

Founder Jim Thompson built a business in early outdoor gear development and manufacturing after traveling the world with his younger brother, Greg, and then began manufacturing outdoor gear.

The product was named "WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE" because the design was inspired by Greg's outdoor experiences.

Since then, Wilderness Experience has been supported by outdoor enthusiasts and is particularly popular in Japan, contributing significantly to the popularity of backpacks in Japan.

Currently, in pursuit of high quality, all products are manufactured in Japan.
